While located far enough from paved roads to keep a backcountry mood, the cabins of Shrine Mountain Inn are perhaps the least difficult 10th Mountain "ski in" huts to access. An ideal first hut trip, these cabins are 2.7 miles from Interstate Highway 70 near Vail and Silverthorne in Eagle County, Colorado.

Boreas Pass Section House

Owned by Summit Hut's Association and located atop Boreas Pass just outside Breckenridge, this historic cabin is rich with the history of the area. About 10 miles southeast of the town of Breckenridge, at 11,481ft. in Summit County, Colorado. It is located next to another hut called Ken's Cabin.

10th Mountain Division Hut located in the Sawatch Mountain foothills of central Colorado at 9,700, about 15 miles northeast of Aspen, and about 17 miles south of Interstate Highway 70. Nearby peaks rise above 12,000 feet.

Robert's Cabin

Details

Robert's Cabin is located 3 miles NW of Como at CR 50 and CR 33.  It dates back to the 1880's and is associated with the early Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad.  It can accommodate eight people with two double beds, two twin beds, and one sleeper sofa.  There is a wood stove and a port-a-potty.  There is no water and you must bring your own linens and blankets for the beds.  The cabin is two stories with a steep staircase to the top floor.  No pets.

Peter Estin Hut

A 10th Mountain Division Hut located in a clearing on a timbered saddle just northwest of Charles Peak (12,050 feet), with a clear view of the Elk and Williams mountains to the south near Vail, Edwards, Avon and Basalt in Eagle County, Colorado. Centered in a vast forested area, the hut provides access to myriad trails, dirt roads, and one alpine ridge.

Sylvan Lake State Park Yurts

A state park near Eagle, Colorado. The 1,548-acre park established in 1987 and surrounded by the White River National Forest includes a 42-acre lake and 1.5 miles of trails. here are three 20’ diameter, round tent-like buildings called yurts nestled in the trees 4 ½ miles into the park on East Brush Creek Road. (9 miles from lake) Stream fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing and more are available from this peaceful site.

Originally called the Second Creek Hut, in the Second Creek Basin on the west side of Berthoud Pass near Winter Park and Idaho Springs in Grand County, Colorado. Broome Hut is one of the finest high altitude skiing and hiking locales in Colorado. Ease of access and great skiing make for excellent backcountry recreation opportunities.located at the top of a steep climb at 11,350' just a mile and half west of Berthoud Pass.

Pearl Lake State Park

A Colorado State Park near Steamboat Springs and Hayden in Routt County, Colorado. Pearl Lake State Park, at the base of Hahn's Peak, is in Routt County, Colorado near the town of Hahn's Peak, Colorado and is north of Steamboat Springs. Pearl Lake is named for M. Pearl Hartt, the wife of pioneer sheep rancher, John Kelly Hartt. The 36 campsites and two Yurts at Pearl Lake all of the campsites are sunny and have views of both the lake and surrounding views of our Colorado mountains.

Janet's Hut

Janet's Cabin is owned by Summit Hut's Association. The hut is eastern most hut with reservations taken by 10th Mountain. It is located on the eastern slope of the Continental Divide at 11,610ft, about 5 miles south of Vail Pass and Interstate Highway 70, in central Colorado. The location is near Copper Mountain ski resort, Silverthorne and Vail in Summit County, Colorado.
